The Autumn Show was scheduled to be held on Saturday 10 September. Following the sad news of the death of Her Majesty on Thursday 8 September, the Society decided to go ahead with the Show. The Show gave the local community an opportunity to come together and share reflections and thoughts on The Queen's long reign.
 
The Eastcote Horticultural Society is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and The Queen was patron of the RHS since her accession to the throne. The Queen had a keen interest in gardening and attended the RHS Chelsea Flower Show throughout her reign.
 
It was a fitting tribute that we held our own Show in her memory.
