We met with the Friends of Eastcote House and some local residents to form a gardening party. The morning was bright, warm and sunny. Recent rain had made the ground soft enough to ease the weeding and clearance of the site. There was a group of about 20 volunteers and we had very quickly cleared the ground and planted 1,500 native English bluebells. Our thanks to Lesley Crowcroft for organising this and extending the invitation to EHS to join in the planting.
I look forward to watching the bluebells' progress over the next couple of months.
